More than a
flower shop.

Dorothy Sarris McDaniel didn't begin as a florist. She holds degrees in criminology and social work — but forty-seven years ago, she picked up stems and never put them down. What she built on 3rd Avenue South became Birmingham's most trusted name in wedding florals, event design, and everyday beauty.

She has authored two books — Dorothy's Simply Beautiful Flowers and Flowers by Dorothy McDaniel. She appears regularly on Talk of Alabama on ABC 33/40. Her work has been featured in Southern Living, Southern Accents, and Birmingham Magazine. In 2009, the Women's Committee of 100 For Birmingham named her Entrepreneur of the Year.

Most wedding florals are finalized in two consultations. Dorothy's team walks with you from brief to bloom.

A free in-store consultation with Dorothy or a senior designer. We listen first, then we suggest.

Design

We build a custom floral proposal — piece by piece, tied to your palette, venue, and budget.

Confirm

Review and approve. A deposit holds your date. Changes welcome up to three weeks before.

Create

Your florals are cut and arranged the day of or the evening before. Always fresh. Always by hand.

06

Deliver

On-site delivery and setup. We stay until every vase is placed and every arch is dressed.
